I’m Anne Marie Kiel (or AMK as we’ll soon get to know each other).
Friends have called me AMK for as long as I can remember, and when it came time to name my event business, I knew I wanted to incorporate both something personal and my love of curating unique, creative events. And so, AMKreative was born.
The Moment I Knew Events Were My Thing
During a Sales Kickoff my team had planned in Isle of Palms, SC, we spent the evening at a private event aboard the U.S.S. Charleston - dinner in the hull, drinks around the boat, team trivia. A perfect night, but with setup tasks looming, I quietly slipped out early and headed back to the resort alone.
By the time my team returned at midnight, I had fully set the general session room - promo meticulously placed at every seat, everything ready for morning. They got to sleep a little longer and a little easier. When attendees came in the next morning, they were blown away by the setup.
What I learned: the best behind-the-scenes work leaves attendees wowed and your team grateful - and that's what AMKreative is built around.
Over the past 4+ years, I’ve spearheaded tradeshows, conferences, retreats, and everything in between. From facilitating 10-person finalist meetings to 50-person high-end happy hours to 250-person, $800,000 budget conferences, I’ve strive to bring a personal element and creativity to everything I touch, and have brought that into AMKreative.
When I'm Not in Event Mode
You'll find me going to concerts, reading fantasy novels, playing volleyball, hiking with my 12-pound wiener dog, Gus, or building detailed travel itineraries (yes, I even planned my own wedding - and a full week of activities for guests around it). I live with my husband in Conifer, CO, nestled in the mountains about 40 minutes from Denver.
